Earthstar Investments
Earthstar Investments is our direct investment and co-investment platform. We invest in scalable European startups at the pre-seed and seed stages, often co-investing alongside other funds where there’s strong strategic alignment. Our focus lies in tech-driven solutions to global challenges, led by diverse and mission-driven teams.
In addition to direct deals, we also allocate capital to a select group of highly specialized micro-funds across Europe. These funds may operate in adjacent domains outside our core expertise but offer unique access to innovation and founders aligned with our values.

Earthstar Angels
Earthstar Angels is our Dutch-focused angel vehicle, created in collaboration with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Through this fund, we support early-stage Dutch startups developing impact-driven ventures. We are particularly committed to backing diverse founding teams across the Netherlands—those often overlooked yet deeply impactful.
These are direct, high-conviction investments where we roll up our sleeves and work closely with founders to turn early traction into lasting impact.

WHO WE ARE
Earthstar is the venture arm of a Latin American family office. We operate with a team across two key locations: our headquarters in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and a local office in Mexico City, Mexico. This structure enables us to support early-stage technology companies with a global perspective, combining access to European innovation with deep insights into emerging markets in Latin America. Earthstar was founded by María Tapia and Réka Gugán, who lead the firm with a shared commitment to backing purpose-driven innovation and creating long-term value.
